What affordable should mean for a facial

Searches for an affordable facial, a cheap facial or an express facial in Singapore come down to one question: what is the least I can spend and still get something worthwhile? The honest answer starts with the full price at the counter, not the number on the advert.

At SkinRev Lab, a non-invasive aesthetic centre at CityLink Mall, facial prices are per session and shown before GST, which is 9%. A S$68 first-visit SKINLDM is S$74.12 with GST, and a S$128 Rejuran® PDRN Facial is S$139.52. Your first session starts with a short assessment by an Aesthetic Specialist, who will tell you if a lower tier or a different treatment fits your skin better.

Three simple tests separate a fair price from a low headline:

• Full price: the per-session price with GST, plus any add-ons you will be offered on the day.
• Real treatment time: minutes spent on your skin, not minutes in the building.
• Freedom to leave: you can pay for the session and go, without signing up to anything.

Price points

What you get at each price at SkinRev Lab

One detail is worth knowing before you choose a tier. In the Rejuran® PDRN Facial, the c-PDRN infusion is the same in every tier; longer sessions add techniques such as extraction, shoulder massage, double masking or LED, not a stronger active. If budget matters most, the 60-minute Essential tier gives you the core infusion.

First-visit rates apply once per new client, on the first session. The HydraFacial Syndeo first-timer rate is available on every tier; ask at the counter or on WhatsApp (+65 8266 9585). There is no published first-visit rate for the Rejuran® PDRN Facial.

Express

Express facials: when 30 to 45 minutes is enough

A shorter facial is not automatically a lesser one. What matters is whether the time goes on the step your skin needs. These are the shorter options at SkinRev Lab.

• SKINLDM, about 30 minutes: a calming option for skin that is red, sensitised or breaking out, and it can be done while skin is inflamed, when many treatments have to wait. It calms rather than corrects; it does not break down pigment or resurface scars.
• HydraFacial Syndeo, 45 minutes: cleanses, extracts and hydrates in three steps, and is a common choice a few days before an event. Make-up can go on the same day; very sensitive skin may flush briefly.
• Needleless SkinBooster: a targeted delivery treatment for one region rather than a full facial, often added when one concern, such as hydration, needs direct attention.

Package traps

Why prepaid packages are where facials get expensive

A single facial rarely hurts a budget. A prepaid package can. In the first half of 2026 the beauty industry topped CASE's complaint list, with 1,124 complaints and prepayment losses of over S$1.9 million, close to 18 times the figure a year earlier. Nearly four in 10 complaints involved businesses not honouring contracts, including prepaid packages that could not be used after sudden closures, and 15.3% involved alleged unethical sales tactics.

Low-priced offers are often the way in. Consumer guidance on the ACRA website describes a familiar script: a very cheap facial is booked, and after a skin analysis the consultant says the promotion does not suit your skin and recommends a pricier package. In 2020 the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS) acted against two beauty businesses that used a S$38 facial offer, performed services consumers had not agreed to, and pressed them to buy 10-session packages costing from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars.

• Pay per session where you can. CASE advises avoiding large advance payments and considering paying per use or in smaller instalments.
• If you do buy a package, check whether the business holds CaseTrust accreditation for beauty and wellness. Under those schemes, consumers can claim a refund of the unused portion of their prepayment if the business closes.
• Get the terms in writing before paying: number of sessions, validity, whether it can be transferred or paused, and what happens to unused sessions if you stop.
• Do not decide on the bed. A discount that exists only if you sign today is a reason to wait.
• If you feel pressured or misled, CASE is the first point of contact for help seeking redress through negotiation or mediation.

Value

Questions that show whether a facial is good value

These are fair questions for any provider, including us. A place that answers them plainly is usually one worth going back to.

• Which device and which products are used? A named device and brand is easier to judge than a generic house facial.
• Who performs it, and is my skin assessed first?
• How many minutes of the appointment are treatment, and how many are consultation or sales?
• What exactly is included, and which steps are add-ons charged on the day, such as extraction, masks, boosters or LED?
• Is the price before or after GST?
• Is this the price of one session, or only the per-session price inside a package?
• What will the second session cost?
• Would a lower tier do the same job for my skin?

Limits

What a facial at any price cannot do

Some concerns do not respond to facials, however much you spend. Melasma and deep, structured acne scars need a doctor's assessment, and severe, painful or scarring acne needs medical treatment. Paying for facial after facial for these can cost more than seeing a doctor once.
