Droopy eyelids make the eyes look smaller, heavier or tired. Eyeshadow disappears into a fold, the double-eyelid crease looks narrower, and some people feel their forehead working hard to keep the eyes open by evening. Before choosing a droopy eyelids treatment in Singapore, it is worth knowing that three different problems produce this look: extra upper-lid skin, a brow that has dropped, and a lid margin that sits too low over the eye. Each needs a different approach.
Extra skin, called dermatochalasis, comes with age and sun exposure as the thin eyelid skin loses collagen and stretches into a hood. A lowered brow, common at the outer end, pushes that skin further down. True ptosis is different: the muscle that lifts the eyelid, or its tendon, has stretched or weakened, so the lid edge itself covers more of the eye. Long-term contact lens use, eye rubbing and age are common causes, but nerve and muscle conditions can also cause it.
Mild hooding and early brow descent can sometimes be improved without surgery by tightening the skin or gently lifting the brow. True ptosis and heavy hooding usually need an eyelid surgeon. A sudden droop, especially on one side, needs a medical check the same day. At SkinRev Lab we provide non-invasive surface tightening. Eyelid-area medical treatments are performed by Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic, who will refer you on when surgery is the right answer.

“If the eyelid edge itself is low, no laser, cream or tightening machine will lift it; that is a job for an eyelid surgeon, and we will say so.”

What goes where
The honest ladder:
non-invasive first, medical when it is needed
At SkinRev Lab · non-invasive
SKINTIGHT® — Alma PrimeX microplasma and UltraWave work on the surface layer to firm crepey skin around the upper lid and outer eye. It can soften mild hooding; it cannot lift a low lid margin or remove heavy excess skin. Read more
At IN Eternity Clinic · Dr Sin Yong
Wrinkle-Relaxing Injections — Small doses of a wrinkle-relaxing injection (neuromodulator) relax the muscles that pull the brow down, allowing a modest lift of the outer brow that can open up the upper lid. Performed by Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic; poor placement can itself cause a droopy lid, so precise dosing matters. How it works
Svelte Touch — Radiofrequency and ultrasound heating of the brow and periorbital skin to tighten mild laxity around the upper eyelid. Suited to early hooding where the lid margin position is normal. How it works
RF Microneedling — Fine insulated needles deliver radiofrequency heat into the dermis to stimulate collagen in crepey upper-lid and outer-eye skin. It improves skin quality rather than lifting the lid itself. How it works
Enquiries to SkinRev Lab about medical treatments are passed to IN Eternity Clinic, where Dr Sin Yong performs them.
Try SKINTIGHT® at SkinRev Lab first if your lids look mildly crepey or hooded, your vision is unaffected, and your eyelid edge sits at a normal height. See the doctor first if the lid edge covers part of your pupil, if one side droops more, if the droop is worsening, if you tilt your head back or raise your brows to see, or if you wear contact lenses long term. A sudden droop with double vision, headache or pupil change needs urgent medical care, not an aesthetic appointment. Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic will assess lid height and brow position and refer you to an eye surgeon when surgery is the better route.

What the research says
The evidence,
with sources
A report by the American Academy of Ophthalmology found that surgical repair of ptosis and of excess upper-lid skin can improve vision, peripheral vision and daily activities in people with functional impairment. Indicators included an upper lid margin 2 mm or less above the pupil reflex, measurable loss of the upper visual field, and a chin-up head tilt. A review of ptosis described its many causes, from tendon stretching to nerve and muscle disease, and stressed that the cause decides the treatment.
Non-surgical evidence is more modest. In a small early study, neuromodulator injections to the muscles that pull the brow down produced a small brow lift, averaging about 1 mm, in most participants. A 2025 study of 14 Asian adults treated once with a small-tip monopolar radiofrequency device reported measurable elevation of the brow and upper eyelid crease at six months without adverse events. These changes are small and suit mild cases only.

Common questions
Your questions,
answered
What is the right droopy eyelids treatment in Singapore for me?
It depends on the cause. Mild crepey hooding may improve with surface tightening such as SKINTIGHT® at SkinRev Lab, or with radiofrequency treatments performed by Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic. A dropped outer brow may respond to a small neuromodulator brow lift. A low eyelid edge (true ptosis) or heavy excess skin usually needs eyelid surgery, and you will be referred.
How much does droopy eyelids treatment in Singapore cost?
SKINTIGHT® at SkinRev Lab is S$588. Medical treatments such as wrinkle-relaxing injections, Svelte Touch or RF microneedling are priced at consultation with Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic, because the plan depends on what is causing the droop. If surgery is the better option, the eye surgeon you are referred to will advise on their own fees.
How do I know if I have ptosis or just hooded eyelids?
Look straight ahead in a mirror. If the eyelid edge itself covers more of the coloured part of your eye than on the other side, or more than it used to, that suggests ptosis. If the edge sits normally but a fold of skin hangs over it, that is hooding. Many people have both, and a doctor's measurement gives the clear answer.
Can droopy eyelids affect my vision?
Yes. When the lid or overhanging skin covers part of the pupil, the upper field of vision narrows, and people may tilt their head back or raise their brows to see. This can cause forehead tiredness and headaches. If your vision is affected, an eye surgeon's assessment is the priority, and surgery may be considered functional rather than purely cosmetic.
Can a brow lift injection make my eyelids droop?
It can, if the product spreads into the muscle that lifts the eyelid. This side effect is uncommon and temporary, but it is the reason injections near the eyes need careful placement and dosing. Dr Sin Yong uses small doses at measured points and reviews you after treatment. Tell the doctor if you have had this problem before.
Will non-surgical treatment replace eyelid surgery?
Not for moderate or severe cases. Non-surgical options can firm skin and give a small brow lift, often around a millimetre or two, which helps mild hooding. They cannot reposition a low eyelid margin or remove a large fold of skin. If you are not ready for surgery, the doctor can explain what a non-surgical plan can and cannot achieve.
