Aesthetic technology at SkinRev Lab two kinds of treatment, one address

SkinRev Lab is an aesthetic clinic at CityLink Mall, City Hall, with two kinds of treatment under one roof: non-invasive machine treatments by trained therapists, and doctor-led treatments by Dr Sin Yong. Here is each machine, what it does, which treatment uses it and who operates it.

Quick answer

  • The aesthetic machines at SkinRev Lab fall into two groups. Trained therapists operate the non-invasive ones: HydraFacial Syndeo, Alma PrimeX (SKINTIGHT and SKINUSHAPE), Miglou by HIRONIC (SKINSHAPE), SKINLIFT®, SKINLDM®, SKINSCULPT®, the SKIN Eternity Pod®, SKINGLIFT®, the Needleless SkinBooster and the Rejuran® PDRN Facial.
  • Dr Sin Yong performs doctor-led treatments on medical platforms such as the Ultraformer MPT (HIFU), Volnewmer (VF Lift), Onda Pro by DEKA, the DEKA Tetra Pro fractional CO₂ laser, the DEKA TORO for pico laser and the Lutronic Clarity II for laser hair removal, at SkinRev Lab, CityLink Mall, and at IN Eternity Clinic, Pacific Plaza.
  • Therapist treatments have exact prices before GST on our price list, such as HydraFacial Signature at S$288 per session and SKINSHAPE at S$288 per 15 × 15 cm zone. Doctor-led treatments start with a consultation and are priced at consultation.
  • The concern decides the machine, not the other way round. Early laxity, a localised pocket of fat or dull skin often suits a therapist treatment; deeper sagging, scars, pigment and unwanted hair usually need a doctor. Individual results vary.

Two kinds of treatment

Therapist machines and doctor-led treatments: how they differ

SkinRev Lab is an aesthetic clinic at #B1-28 CityLink Mall, 1 Raffles Link, linked underground to City Hall and Esplanade MRT and open daily from 11am to 8pm. Two kinds of treatment happen at the same address. The difference is not only the machine: it is who performs the treatment, what it is for, how you are assessed and how the price is set.

Non-invasive machine treatments are performed by trained therapists, our Aesthetic Therapists, after a skin or body assessment. They work without needles or wounds, and Dr Sin Yong trains the team hands-on on the machines in our treatment rooms. Doctor-led treatments, including injectables, medical lasers, HIFU and radiofrequency lifting, are performed by Dr Sin Yong (MBBS Singapore, MRCS Edinburgh, MSc Practical Dermatology Cardiff) after a consultation, at SkinRev Lab, CityLink Mall, and at IN Eternity Clinic, 9 Scotts Road, #12-01 Pacific Plaza.

Machine · HydraFacial Syndeo

HydraFacial Syndeo: the machine behind our HydraFacial in Singapore

HydraFacial Syndeo is a hydradermabrasion system. Its spiral Vortex-Fusion® tip uses suction to cleanse and exfoliate, lift out blackheads and congestion, and infuse serums in the same pass, so pores are cleared without manual squeezing. Boosters such as the JLo Beauty Booster go in through the Syndeo handpiece during the hydration step, and Perk Lip and Perk Eye use a separate roller-flex applicator for the lips and eye area.

Every HydraFacial at SkinRev Lab runs on the Syndeo, with single-use tips opened for each session. It suits congested pores, dullness, dehydration and mild acne, worked around active spots. It does not lift sagging skin or clear deep pigment, and painful, cystic or scarring acne should be seen by a doctor first. In a small open-label study of 20 adults with acne, six treatments over 12 weeks raised the share rated clear or almost clear from 20% to 65%; there was no control group.

  • Session: about 45 minutes; make-up can go on the same day
  • Signature S$288, Deluxe S$388, Platinum S$438 per session, before GST
  • JLo Beauty Booster: an extra S$68 on any tier, before GST

Machine · Alma PrimeX

Alma PrimeX: microplasma for SKINTIGHT, guided ultrasound for SKINUSHAPE

Alma PrimeX, by Alma Lasers, is a multi-technology platform that brings several energy modes together in one device; two of them power SkinRev treatments. Microplasma releases radiofrequency energy at 40.68 MHz through pins just above the skin, forming fine surface channels while heat is conducted into the dermis. UltraWave delivers guided ultrasound that acts mainly mechanically on fat cells rather than heating them.

SKINTIGHT uses microplasma for loose or crepey skin, uneven texture, enlarged pores and some scarring on the face, eye area, neck or body, and numbing cream is available. Tightening settings usually leave mild redness for a few hours, while scar settings cause pinpoint scabbing for a few days. SKINUSHAPE uses UltraWave for deeper or more compact pockets of fat on the abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms, back or buttocks; it feels warm with a mild buzzing, and most clients return to normal activity the same day.

Research on these energy types, though not on this exact device, is encouraging but limited: in a multicentre study of 95 adults, three sessions of fractional microplasma radiofrequency improved atrophic acne scars.

  • SKINTIGHT: about 30 minutes; S$588 per zone, before GST (body: per 15 × 15 cm area)
  • SKINUSHAPE: S$288 per 15 × 15 cm zone, before GST; a full abdomen is usually two zones

Machine · Miglou

Miglou by HIRONIC: UHF microwave for SKINSHAPE

Miglou is an ultra-high-frequency (UHF) microwave platform from HIRONIC. Rather than the conventional radiofrequency most contouring devices use, it delivers microwave energy with near-focusing toward a target depth, warming the fat layer and the fibrous bands within it while a cooling system protects the skin surface. That warmth acts on fat and stimulates collagen in the skin above.

It is the machine behind SKINSHAPE, for stubborn, pinchable fat with mild laxity or cellulite on the abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms, back or bra line, as well as the double chin and lower face. Each 15 × 15 cm zone receives 100 kJ in about 30 minutes; clients usually feel a comfortable warmth, and most return to work the same day. It is not for visceral fat, and it is not a weight-loss treatment.

  • SKINSHAPE: S$288 per 15 × 15 cm zone, before GST
  • Zones and the total are mapped at consultation, before anything is booked

Machine · SKINLIFT

SKINLIFT®: N Pulse-Ultrasound lifting, without needles

SKINLIFT® uses N Pulse-Ultrasound, a focused-ultrasound technology that sends multi-sequential pulses beneath the skin toward the deeper support layers of the face, without needles and without breaking the surface. Because the energy arrives as a sequence of pulses rather than single high-intensity points, it is done without numbing cream.

It suits mild to moderate jowls, a softening jawline, nasolabial folds and under-chin fullness. Sessions take about 30 minutes; most clients return to work straight after, and mild, short-lived redness can occur. SKINLIFT is not medical HIFU. Where laxity is deeper, a doctor-led option such as HIFU on the Ultraformer MPT or VF Lift is the more appropriate route, and marked sagging may need a surgical opinion.

  • SKINLIFT® Face (jowls, nasolabial folds, jawline): S$888 per session, before GST
  • SKINLIFT® Double Chin: S$488 per session, before GST

Machine · SKINLDM

SKINLDM®: the LDM facial for sensitive, reactive skin

SKINLDM® uses LDM, local dynamic micro-massage ultrasound. Rapidly alternating ultrasound frequencies create a gentle micro-massage in the skin rather than heat, with no needles, acids or light energy. It is designed to calm and hydrate, not to resurface.

It suits sensitive, redness-prone or reactive skin, including skin recovering after stronger treatments such as laser. A session takes about 30 minutes including a basic facial, and most clients return to their day with little visible reaction. It does not treat acne scars or established pigmentation, and rosacea or persistent acne should also be managed by a doctor.

  • SKINLDM with a basic facial: S$288 per session, before GST

Machine · SKINSCULPT

SKINSCULPT®: HIFEM muscle toning, and how it relates to Emsculpt

SKINSCULPT® uses a high-intensity electromagnetic field (HIFEM) to trigger thousands of strong, involuntary muscle contractions in one session, more than you can make by choice. The applicator is a 36 cm plate placed over the region, and for the pelvic floor you sit fully clothed on a dedicated chair applicator.

People searching for Emsculpt in Singapore are usually looking for this kind of electromagnetic muscle stimulation. Emsculpt and Emsculpt NEO are BTL's devices; SkinRev Lab does not offer them, and SKINSCULPT is not a BTL device. It works on the same muscle-stimulation principle, without radiofrequency. Sessions take about 30 minutes per region, fully clothed, and mild muscle soreness the next day is common.

It builds muscle tone alongside exercise and is not a way to lose a thick layer of fat. A systematic review of 15 clinical studies, mostly of BTL's devices, reported no complications, with a typical course of four sessions over two to four weeks; those figures are not SKINSCULPT's own. After pregnancy, have your postnatal check and any abdominal separation assessed first.

  • Regions: buttocks, tummy, thighs, underarms or pelvic floor
  • S$288 per region, before GST

Machine · SKIN Eternity Pod

SKIN Eternity Pod®: far-infrared warmth and salt-pack acupressure

The SKIN Eternity Pod® pairs far-infrared warmth with warm mineral salt-pack acupressure while you rest fully clothed inside the pod. It supports circulation, post-exercise recovery and relaxation, and many clients book it on training days or alongside body contouring.

It is not a fat-reduction or skin-tightening treatment; for zone-based contouring, SKINSHAPE or SKINUSHAPE are the options. A session runs 30 to 45 minutes, and most clients return to work or training afterwards.

  • S$288 per session, before GST

Machine · SKINGLIFT

SKINGLIFT®: external radiofrequency and pelvic-floor EMS

SKINGLIFT® combines two technologies in one protocol: gentle external radiofrequency warmth that encourages collagen renewal in intimate tissue, and electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) that prompts rhythmic pelvic-floor contractions. Sessions are one-to-one, in a private room.

It suits women noticing changes in intimate firmness or comfort after childbirth or with age who want a non-invasive option. It does not treat urinary incontinence or any medical condition, so urinary symptoms should be checked by a doctor. For a doctor-led option, Dr Sin Yong performs G Lift, a fractional intimate laser.

  • About 20 to 30 minutes per session, usually 7 to 14 days apart
  • Most clients resume daily activities the same day, avoiding intercourse and strenuous exercise for 24 to 48 hours
  • Priced at assessment
SKINGLIFT feminine wellness →G Lift (doctor-led) →

Machine · Needleless SkinBooster

Needleless SkinBooster: booster solutions through an applicator tip

The Needleless SkinBooster drives a booster solution through the skin barrier with a specialised applicator tip, without needles and without breaking the surface. The delivery method stays the same; the booster is chosen for your concern at consultation, whether hydration, uneven tone or overall skin quality.

It is a targeted delivery treatment rather than a facial, so it is shorter and priced by region. Skin may look flushed for a short while, and most clients return to their day straight away. It is not the same as an injectable skin booster, which places hyaluronic acid or polynucleotides into the dermis and is a doctor-led treatment by Dr Sin Yong.

  • Face: S$288 per region, before GST
  • Neck: S$288 per region, before GST
  • Body regions: quoted at consultation

Machine · Rejuran® PDRN Facial

Rejuran® PDRN Facial: c-PDRN delivered with Meso Touch

The Rejuran® PDRN Facial delivers cosmetic-grade c-PDRN, a salmon-derived polynucleotide, into the skin with Meso Touch transdermal technology, past the outer barrier and without needles. It is a full facial built around that infusion, with massage, masking and, in some tiers, LED.

It supports skin quality, texture and hydration over a course, with little to no downtime. It does not lift pitted or boxcar acne scars, which need doctor-led treatments such as subcision, fractional laser or RF microneedling. Injected PDRN is a separate, doctor-led treatment.

  • Nine tiers of 60, 75 or 90 minutes, each at a set price before GST; for example, Singapore Essential (60 minutes) is S$128 and Korea Professional (Scalp) (90 minutes) is S$348

Doctor-led

The medical platforms Dr Sin Yong uses

Doctor-led treatments use medical devices that need a doctor's assessment and, for some, numbing cream, needles or a few days of recovery. Dr Sin Yong performs them at SkinRev Lab, CityLink Mall, and at IN Eternity Clinic, 9 Scotts Road, #12-01 Pacific Plaza, beside Orchard MRT. All are priced at consultation, after he has examined you.

The table lists the platforms by the names people search for, including the Ultraformer MPT for HIFU, Volnewmer for VF Lift and Onda Pro for microwave body contouring. His other protocols, such as RF microneedling, Time Freeze Laser LCLR®, FSX Laser and Luminescence Laser, are explained on their own pages.

Evidence differs by platform. A systematic review of 16 studies found that microfocused ultrasound tightened facial skin, with temporary redness and moderate discomfort; a study of 30 women treated with 6.78 MHz monopolar radiofrequency measured about 1.3 to 2.8 mm of lift by area at one month; and a review of 77 studies supports picosecond lasers for tattoos and pigment. Individual results vary.

How to choose

How to choose between a therapist treatment and a doctor-led one

Both kinds of treatment are available at the same CityLink Mall address, so an assessment can start with a therapist and move to a consultation with Dr Sin Yong when the concern calls for it. No machine replaces daily sun protection, skincare or a stable weight, and results vary between individuals.

  • Start with the concern, not the machine. Sagging can mean early laxity, deeper laxity or lost volume, and each needs something different.
  • Skin quality, early laxity, a localised pocket of fat or low muscle tone often suit a therapist-led machine treatment with little or no downtime.
  • Deeper sagging, scars, pigment, unwanted hair and volume loss usually need a doctor-led treatment, planned at a consultation.
  • See a doctor first for any medical concern, such as cystic acne, rosacea, a changing mole or urinary symptoms.
  • Ask which machine will be used, by name, who will operate it, and what the whole course costs, not just one session.
  • Expect to be told when a treatment is not right for you, including when no treatment is the right answer.

Common questions

Your questions,
answered

Which machine is used for SKINSHAPE?

SKINSHAPE uses Miglou, an ultra-high-frequency (UHF) microwave platform from HIRONIC, with near-focusing delivery and skin cooling. Each 15 × 15 cm zone receives 100 kJ in about 30 minutes, at S$288 per zone before GST. It is performed by trained therapists at SkinRev Lab, CityLink Mall.

Is HydraFacial a medical treatment?

No. HydraFacial is a non-medical facial performed by trained therapists on the HydraFacial Syndeo, with no needles and no downtime; make-up can go on the same day. Painful, cystic or scarring acne, or any skin condition, should be seen by a doctor first, and Dr Sin Yong sees patients at SkinRev Lab, CityLink Mall, and at IN Eternity Clinic, Pacific Plaza.

Do you have Onda Pro at City Hall?

Yes. Onda Pro, DEKA's Coolwaves microwave body contouring, is a doctor-led treatment performed by Dr Sin Yong at SkinRev Lab, CityLink Mall, linked underground to City Hall MRT, and at IN Eternity Clinic, Pacific Plaza. It starts with a consultation and is priced at consultation. SKINSHAPE, on the Miglou microwave platform, is the therapist-led microwave option at S$288 per zone before GST.

Is SKINSCULPT the same as Emsculpt?

No. Emsculpt and Emsculpt NEO are BTL's devices, and SkinRev Lab does not offer them. SKINSCULPT uses the same electromagnetic muscle-stimulation principle, without radiofrequency, for about 30 minutes per region, fully clothed, at S$288 per region before GST.

Do you offer Ultraformer MPT HIFU?

Yes, as a doctor-led treatment. Dr Sin Yong performs HIFU on the Ultraformer MPT, and may combine it with Volnewmer monopolar radiofrequency in his VF Lift protocol; both are priced at consultation. SKINLIFT® is the therapist-led ultrasound lifting option, and it is not medical HIFU.

Can I have pico laser or CO2 laser at SkinRev Lab?

Yes, as doctor-led treatments after a consultation. Dr Sin Yong performs Pico Laser (T2 Frax Radiance on the DEKA TORO) and fractional CO₂ laser on the DEKA Tetra Pro with his S3 scar protocol, at SkinRev Lab, CityLink Mall, and at IN Eternity Clinic, Pacific Plaza. Both are priced at consultation, and CO₂ laser needs about five to seven days of recovery.

What is an LDM facial?

An LDM facial uses local dynamic micro-massage ultrasound: rapidly alternating frequencies that create a gentle micro-massage in the skin rather than heat. At SkinRev Lab it is SKINLDM®, about 30 minutes with a basic facial, at S$288 before GST, suited to sensitive and redness-prone skin.

Who operates the machines at SkinRev Lab?

Trained therapists, our Aesthetic Therapists, operate the non-invasive machines, and Dr Sin Yong trains them hands-on on those machines. Medical devices such as lasers, HIFU and RF microneedling are used by Dr Sin Yong himself.

How much do treatments on these machines cost?

Therapist treatments have exact prices before GST on our price list, for example SKINLIFT® Face at S$888, SKINTIGHT at S$588 per zone and HydraFacial Signature at S$288. Doctor-led treatments are priced at consultation, because the plan depends on Dr Sin Yong's assessment.
