Chin projection: the jawline fix people overlook
If your chin sits behind your lower lip in profile, tightening can firm the tissue around it but cannot bring it forward. Adding projection at the chin often changes the jawline more than anything done along the jaw.
The evidence for hyaluronic acid here is reasonably strong. In a randomised, evaluator-blinded study in Chinese adults with mild to moderate chin retrusion, 81% of treated participants improved by at least one grade at six months, against 5% of untreated controls, with high satisfaction through 12 months. A randomised trial of a hyaluronic acid gel for jawline definition reported 69% responders at six months, compared with 38% in the control group, with results through one year.

A square jaw from muscle: why devices will not slim it
When width comes from the masseter, the chewing muscle at the jaw angle, the treatment that slims it is a prescription neuromodulator injection. No device at SkinRev Lab reliably slims an enlarged chewing muscle, and we will say so at the first visit.
A 2026 meta-analysis of five placebo-controlled trials with 536 participants found that botulinum toxin improved masseter prominence, reduced muscle thickness and raised satisfaction in the short term. The authors noted wide variation between studies and that the ideal dose and protocol are not yet defined, which is why dosing is individual.
