A bio-remodelling injection in Singapore usually means a high-concentration HA bio-remodelling injection designed to improve skin quality rather than add shape. People in Singapore usually look for it when their skin looks tired, thin, crepey or dehydrated, and when fine lines and early laxity are more of a concern than hollows. It is different from a dermal filler: it is not meant to lift the cheekbone or project the chin.
The product combines high- and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid in one gel, stabilised by a heat process rather than heavy chemical cross-linking. These are sometimes called hybrid cooperative complexes. Because the gel is very fluid, it spreads through the superficial fat and lower dermis after injection. Bio-remodelling injections are performed by Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic; SkinRev Lab does not inject, but has needle-less skin-quality treatments for people not ready for injections.

How it works
The mechanism,
in plain English
The gel contains about 32 mg/mL of total HA, higher than many volumising fillers at around 20–25 mg/mL, yet it behaves like a liquid because it is only lightly stabilised. After injection it disperses within a few hours across the surrounding tissue. The high-molecular-weight chains hold water and give mechanical support; the low-molecular-weight fragments are thought to signal to skin cells. Laboratory work has shown these complexes improve the vitality of fibroblasts, keratinocytes and fat cells and stimulate collagen and elastin production.
Injection is done through a small number of points on each side of the face, commonly five per side, chosen over bony landmarks away from major vessels. Each point receives a small bolus, usually around 0.2 mL, which then spreads. A cannula can be used for some areas, including the neck. Because the gel is soft and the volume per point is small, the risk profile is lower than for a structural filler, but it is still an injection near facial vessels, so anatomy knowledge and careful technique still apply.
“Bio-remodelling improves the quality of skin you already have; it will not replace lost bone or lift heavy tissue.”

Is it right for you
Who it suits,
and who it does not
Bio-remodelling usually suits adults in their late 20s onwards with early laxity, dehydrated or dull skin that has not improved with skincare, crepey texture on the face or neck, and fine lines rather than deep folds. It can be combined with energy-based tightening or used before structural filler, and suits people who want gradual, subtle improvement over weeks rather than a change in shape.
It is not advised during pregnancy or breastfeeding, over active infection or inflamed acne, or in people with a known allergy to HA products. Anyone with autoimmune disease, a bleeding tendency or blood-thinning medication should discuss this first. It will not correct marked hollows, a short chin or heavy jowls; those need structural filler, a biostimulator or lifting. If your main concern is surface pigment, open pores or acne marks, a laser or a facial is usually more useful.
Non-invasive alternative at SkinRev Lab
Needleless SkinBooster — The Needleless SkinBooster at SkinRev delivers hydrating and brightening boosters into the surface of the skin without injections. It is a gentler option for dehydrated, dull skin, but it does not reach the deeper layer that an injected bio-remodelling product treats, so it is unlikely to help laxity in the same way. Read more
What to expect
Consultation, session
and aftercare
At consultation, Dr Sin Yong looks at your skin quality, laxity and any previous injectables, and explains whether bio-remodelling fits your goals or whether another option makes more sense. On the day, the skin is cleansed and the injection points are marked. Numbing cream is optional, since the needle is fine and the number of injections small. The procedure itself takes only a few minutes.
You will see small raised bumps at each point; they usually flatten within several hours to a day as the gel spreads. Mild redness, tenderness or a small bruise is possible. Avoid makeup for a few hours, and avoid strenuous exercise, saunas and facial massage for about a day. Changes in skin hydration and texture tend to build gradually over the following weeks, and a course is usually planned at consultation.

What the research says
The evidence,
with sources
The evidence for hybrid cooperative complexes of HA is growing but still modest. A 2025 review summarised laboratory studies showing improved fibroblast, keratinocyte and fat-cell activity with collagen and elastin production, and clinical studies reporting reduced wrinkle severity, smoother skin and improved superficial hydration. The same review noted the limitations of the published studies, including small numbers and open-label designs.
Asian data are limited, which matters for Singapore. A single-centre open-label study in 30 Chinese women, treated twice four weeks apart, found significant improvement over time in superficial skin hydration and transepidermal water loss (a measure of skin barrier), with good tolerability. Wrinkle and volume-loss scores decreased over time, but pairwise comparisons between visits were not significant, which is a fair reminder that the main effect is on skin quality rather than shape.

Common questions
Your questions,
answered
How is a bio-remodelling injection in Singapore different from filler?
A filler is a firmer, cross-linked gel placed to add volume or projection in a precise spot. A bio-remodelling injection is a very concentrated but fluid HA that spreads under the skin after injection. It is designed to improve hydration, texture and early laxity, not to change your face shape. Many people use both: bio-remodelling for skin quality and a small amount of filler for structure where needed.
How much does bio-remodelling cost?
Pricing for bio-remodelling injections is given at your consultation with Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic, as the plan depends on the areas treated, such as face, neck or hands, and how your skin responds. SkinRev Lab does not perform injections. If you would like a needle-less start, our Needleless SkinBooster is S$288 per region, though it works at a shallower level.
Does it hurt, and what is the downtime?
The needle is fine and there are only a few injection points on each side, so most people find it quick and tolerable; numbing cream can be used. Small bumps appear at each point and usually settle within several hours to a day. A small bruise is possible. Most people go back to work the same day, avoiding makeup for a few hours and exercise for about a day.
How many sessions are needed?
There is no single number that fits everyone. Published studies have used two treatments about four weeks apart, and some people continue with maintenance later. A course is usually planned at consultation with Dr Sin Yong, based on your skin, your age and what you are trying to change. Results build gradually, so it is fairer to judge it over weeks rather than days.
Is a bio-remodelling injection in Singapore safe?
The gel is soft, the volume per point is small and the injection points are chosen away from major vessels, so serious complications are uncommon. It is still an injection, so bruising, swelling and, rarely, infection or nodules can occur. Because it is made of HA, hyaluronidase can break it down if needed. A medical history is taken first, and anyone pregnant or with active skin infection should wait.
Can I combine it with lasers or HIFU?
Yes, often. Bio-remodelling improves the hydration and quality of the skin, while energy-based treatments such as focused ultrasound or radiofrequency tighten deeper layers. The order and spacing between treatments matter, because heat and swelling can affect each other. Dr Sin Yong will suggest a sequence at consultation. Non-invasive tightening at SkinRev can be part of the plan if you prefer to avoid needles for some steps.
