Under-Eye Lines & Crepey Skin in Singapore

Lines that appear when you smile and crinkles that stay at rest come from different causes, so they are treated differently.

Written & medically reviewed by Dr Sin Yong · 8 October 2026

Quick answer

Under-eye lines show up as fine crinkles below the lower lashes, fanning lines at the outer corner when you smile, and a thin, crepey texture that makes concealer settle into creases. They often appear earlier than lines elsewhere because the skin here is among the thinnest on the face. If you are comparing under eye wrinkles treatment in Singapore, start by noticing whether your lines appear only when you smile or squint, or whether they stay when your face is relaxed.

Lines that come with expression are dynamic. They form because the ring-shaped muscle around the eye, the orbicularis oculi, folds the skin thousands of times a day. Lines that remain at rest are static, and they reflect collagen and elastin loss in the dermis. Sun exposure is the biggest outside cause of this loss, through ultraviolet damage that breaks down collagen and slows its repair. Dryness, eye rubbing, smoking and rapid weight loss add to it.

Crepey skin is a texture problem rather than a single line. It looks like crinkled tissue paper, often worse when the skin is dehydrated, and usually improves when hydration and dermal collagen improve. At SkinRev Lab we work on the non-invasive side: hydration, surface tightening and texture. Injectable boosters, RF microneedling and wrinkle-relaxing injections are medical treatments performed by Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic.

“Relaxing a muscle softens lines made by movement, but it does nothing for lines made by thin, sun-damaged skin, and too much under the eye can make bags look worse.”

What goes where

The honest ladder:
non-invasive first, medical when it is needed

At SkinRev Lab · non-invasive

HydraFacial Perk Eye — A HydraFacial roller-flex eye-area add-on with soothing antioxidant serum that hydrates the lower lid. Better hydration can make fine dehydration lines look softer for a while; it does not rebuild collagen. Read more

SKINTIGHT® — Alma PrimeX microplasma and UltraWave target the surface layer to firm crepey texture around the eyes. It suits fine lines and early crepiness; deeper static lines usually need a medical option alongside. Read more

At IN Eternity Clinic · Dr Sin Yong

Injectable Skin Boosters — Tiny amounts of HA, PN or PDLLA boosters placed in the dermis under the eye to improve hydration, thickness and texture over a planned course. Performed by Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic, using soft products suited to thin lower-lid skin. How it works

RF Microneedling — Insulated microneedles deliver radiofrequency heat at shallow depths to stimulate new collagen in static lines and crepey skin. Mild redness and swelling usually settle within days. How it works

Wrinkle-Relaxing Injections — A wrinkle-relaxing injection (neuromodulator) placed at the outer eye softens crow's feet that appear with smiling. Doses directly under the eye are kept very small or avoided in people with loose lids or bags. How it works

Enquiries to SkinRev Lab about medical treatments are passed to IN Eternity Clinic, where Dr Sin Yong performs them.

Start at SkinRev Lab with Perk Eye or SKINTIGHT® if your lines are fine, worse when your skin is dry, and you want gradual change without injections. See the doctor first if the lines stay deep at rest, if crow's feet are strong when you smile, if the skin under your eye is very loose or puffy, or if you have had fillers or injections around the eyes before. Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic will check whether the main issue is movement, collagen loss, volume loss or a mix, and plan boosters, RF microneedling or neuromodulator injections to match.

What the research says

The evidence,
with sources

Research into how skin ages shows that chronological ageing and sun damage share molecular pathways that break down collagen and reduce its production. Photoageing depends mainly on the amount of sun exposure and skin type, which explains why under-eye lines appear earlier in people with outdoor lifestyles. A 2026 multispecialty systematic review of under-eye treatments found that microneedling and polynucleotides mainly target texture and fine lines, while neuromodulators help where the eye muscle is overactive.

For energy treatment, a self-controlled study of 18 adults treated twice with RF microneedling at 0.5–1.5 mm depth reported significant improvement in static wrinkles in all four periorbital zones assessed, including the lower lid, with redness and mild pain resolving within a week. A prospective observational study of 42 people given intradermal polynucleotide injections under the eyes found better patient-rated lower-lid and crow's feet scores, with minimal side effects, and its authors called for controlled studies. Individual results vary.

Common questions

Your questions,
answered

What under eye wrinkles treatment in Singapore suits fine, crepey lines?

For fine, crepey lines, the aim is to improve skin hydration and collagen. Non-invasive options at SkinRev Lab include Perk Eye for hydration and SKINTIGHT® for surface texture. For deeper static lines, Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic may suggest injectable skin boosters or RF microneedling. Lines that appear only when smiling respond more to muscle-relaxing injections.

How much does under eye wrinkles treatment in Singapore cost?

At SkinRev Lab, SKINTIGHT® is S$588 and HydraFacial Perk Eye is priced at the counter as an add-on. Skin boosters, RF microneedling and wrinkle-relaxing injections are medical treatments, so pricing is given at consultation with Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic. The figure depends on the type of lines and the plan agreed.

Can eye cream fix under-eye lines?

A good moisturiser can soften dehydration lines and make crepey skin look smoother for a while. Daily sunscreen helps slow further collagen loss. Creams cannot reach deep enough to rebuild much collagen or relax the eye muscle, so established static lines and strong crow's feet usually need professional treatment if you want visible change.

Are injections under the eye risky?

The lower lid is thin and swells easily. Boosters may cause small bumps, bruising or swelling for a few days. Neuromodulator placed too close under the eye can weaken lid support and make bags or puffiness look worse. That is why doses here are kept very small, and why some people are better suited to energy treatments instead.

How long until I see results?

Hydrating treatments give a fresher look within a day, but it fades. Neuromodulator for crow's feet takes effect over about one to two weeks. Collagen-based treatments such as RF microneedling and boosters work slowly, with change building over several weeks to a few months. Your plan and how often to repeat it are agreed at consultation.

What can I do at home to slow under-eye lines?

Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen and sunglasses daily, since sun damage is a major cause of collagen loss. Avoid rubbing your eyes, keep the area moisturised, treat allergies that make you rub, and avoid smoking. These steps will not erase existing lines, but they protect the results of any treatment you choose.
