DEKA Academy 2026

The DEKA Academy is DEKA’s own training programme in Florence, Italy. In October 2026 Dr Sin Yong attended it in two capacities: as a Global Key Opinion Leader for DEKA, invited to share his notes on treating Asian skin, and as a participant, earning the same certificate as every other doctor in the room.

Day one covered TORO, a picosecond and Q-switched laser at 1064 and 532 nm used for pigment, and RedTouch PRO at 675 nm for texture and tone. Day two covered Tetra PRO, fractional CO₂ at 10,600 nm, the laser behind his S3 Resurfacing protocol for acne scars, with an afternoon on combining lasers in one treatment plan.

Day three was spent at El.En. in Calenzano, where DEKA’s lasers are designed and built, including a working session with DEKA’s clinical research team on the S3 Resurfacing paper for acne scars, on which Dr Sin Yong is first author.
