It is a reasonable option for people who want a gradual change that still looks like them, who cannot take much time off work, or who are maintaining results from earlier treatments. Because it treats both the dermis and the deeper support layer, it also suits faces where skin texture and laxity are both concerns.

VF Lift is not suitable during pregnancy, for people with a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device (monopolar RF passes current through the body), over metal implants in the treatment area, or over infected, broken or freshly inflamed skin. Mention recent fillers, threads, keloid tendency, bleeding problems or reduced sensation in the face. A very thin face may need gentler settings or a different plan. Each component of VF Lift has published support, though no peer-reviewed study yet tests this exact combined protocol. For 6.78 MHz monopolar RF, a three-dimensional scanning study of 30 Korean women found measurable lifting across the mid-cheek, lower face, lateral orbit, forehead and neck immediately after treatment, still present at one month — roughly 1.3 to 2.8 mm depending on the area. A 2025 modelling and tissue study found that 6.78 MHz concentrates heat along fibrous septa and, with dual-frequency settings, remodels collagen and elastin without killing fat cells.
