Hollow cheeks show as a flat or sunken area under the cheekbones, a shadow running down from the outer eye, or a face that looks tired even after sleep. Hollow temples make the side of the forehead dip inwards, so the brow and cheekbone look sharper and the head looks narrower at eye level. If you are researching hollow cheeks treatment in Singapore, the key point is that this is mostly about lost volume, not loose skin, so the treatments that help are the ones that replace support.
Several things cause the loss. With age, the deep fat pads in the mid-cheek and temple shrink, while bone around the eye socket and upper jaw slowly resorbs, so the frame under the soft tissue gets smaller. Weight loss, long-distance running and other endurance sport, and some doctor-prescribed weight-management medicines can thin facial fat quickly. Genetics plays a part too. Some people simply have high cheekbones and little fat beneath them from a young age.
The look of sagging and hollowing often overlap. When the cheek deflates, the skin above it has less to rest on, so the lower face can look heavier. That is why refilling the mid-face sometimes lifts the jowl area indirectly. SkinRev Lab does not have a non-invasive device that adds volume, and we will not pretend otherwise. Fillers and biostimulators are performed by Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic.

“Heat and ultrasound can firm skin, but they cannot put back fat or bone that has gone, so we do not sell them for hollowness.”

At IN Eternity Clinic · Dr Sin Yong
Cheek Filler — Hyaluronic acid filler placed at the cheekbone and mid-cheek to restore lost support and soften the shadow beneath it. Performed by Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic with attention to natural proportions rather than a pumped look. How it works
Temple Filler — Filler placed in the temple hollow to smooth the dip at the side of the forehead. Because the temple has important vessels, depth and technique are chosen carefully. How it works
Forehead Filler — Contouring for a flat, sloped or uneven forehead, or hollows above the brow. The forehead is a higher-risk area for vascular problems, so it is treated slowly and conservatively by the doctor. How it works
Collagen Biostimulators — Injectable poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) or polycaprolactone (PCL) that prompts gradual collagen growth. It suits people who prefer a slow build-up of volume over several months rather than an immediate change. How it works
Dermal Fillers — Hyaluronic acid volume restoration across the face as a whole, so cheeks, temples and jawline are balanced together rather than one area at a time. How it works
Enquiries to SkinRev Lab about medical treatments are passed to IN Eternity Clinic, where Dr Sin Yong performs them.
There is no non-invasive treatment at SkinRev Lab that refills hollow cheeks or temples, so we suggest seeing the doctor first. You can message SkinRev and we will route you to the clinic. See the doctor sooner if hollowing appeared quickly, if you have lost weight without trying, if one side is more sunken than the other, or if you have had fillers or fat grafting before. Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic will look at bone, fat and skin, discuss whether hyaluronic acid filler, a biostimulator or a combination fits, and tell you plainly when a medical check-up should come before any cosmetic plan.

What the research says
The evidence,
with sources
Ageing of the facial frame is well documented. A review of skeletal changes found that the upper jaw and parts of the orbital rim resorb in a predictable way with age, which reduces support for the cheek and adds to a hollow look. For the cheek itself, a randomised, evaluator-blinded study in Chinese adults found that a hyaluronic acid filler improved mid-face volume compared with no treatment at six months, with the effect sustained in about half of participants at twelve months.
For temples, a randomised controlled study of a hyaluronic acid filler for temple hollowing showed improvement on a validated scale compared with untreated controls, with effects lasting beyond a year and mostly mild injection-site reactions. A separate randomised study of a PLLA filler, given over two to three sessions, also improved temple hollowing compared with no treatment through twelve months. Individual results vary with the product, the amount used and your own tissue.

Common questions
Your questions,
answered
What is the usual hollow cheeks treatment in Singapore?
Most people are treated with hyaluronic acid filler placed deep at the cheekbone and mid-cheek, which replaces support at the time of injection. Others choose a collagen biostimulator such as PLLA, which builds volume slowly over months. Both are medical injectables performed by Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic. Skin-tightening machines do not replace lost volume, so they are not used alone for hollowness.
How much does hollow cheeks treatment in Singapore cost?
Cheek, temple and forehead fillers and biostimulators are medical treatments, so pricing is given at consultation with Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic. The amount needed varies a lot between faces, and some people need several areas balanced together. A fixed figure without examining you would be misleading. You will receive the cost before any treatment begins.
Filler or biostimulator: which is better for me?
Hyaluronic acid filler changes shape at the time of injection and can be dissolved if needed, which some people find reassuring. PLLA and PCL biostimulators work gradually by prompting collagen and are usually given over more than one visit. Your skin thickness, how much volume is missing and how quickly you want change all guide the choice, which is made with the doctor.
Why do my temples look hollow?
The temple has a deep fat pad and muscle under the skin. With age, weight loss or a lean build, the fat thins and the bony edges of the brow and cheekbone stand out. Hollow temples can make the face look narrower and older. Filler or PLLA placed in the right layer can smooth the contour, done carefully because of the vessels in that area.
Will cheek filler make my face look puffy?
Puffiness usually comes from too much product, the wrong layer, or treating the cheek alone when the temples and jaw also need support. A conservative plan restores the original contour rather than enlarging it. Some swelling is normal for a few days after treatment. Dr Sin Yong reviews the result after it settles and adjusts only if needed.
I lost weight quickly and my face looks gaunt. What can help?
Rapid weight loss often thins facial fat before body fat, so the cheeks and temples sink. Volume can be restored with fillers or biostimulators once your weight is stable. If the weight loss was unintended, see a doctor to check the cause first. Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic can advise on timing and on which areas to prioritise.
