Eyeliner Embroidery in Singapore lash-line definition that reads as better lashes
Eyeliner embroidery places pigment along the lash line so the eye looks defined without daily liner. At SkinRev Lab it is our Signature Eyeliner, S$598 before GST, with thickness and tail agreed with you before any pigment is placed.
Quick answer
- Eyeliner embroidery is cosmetic tattooing along the lash line, also called permanent eyeliner or lash-line enhancement. It uses a fine needle and has a healing period.
- Signature Eyeliner at SkinRev Lab, CityLink Mall, is S$598 before GST. Thickness and tail are tailored at consultation; most people want it softer than they first imagine.
- Wait if you have an active eye or eyelid infection or inflammation, or recent eye surgery. If you have any eye condition, check with your doctor first.
- Colour usually looks stronger at first and softens as it heals. Healing and how long it lasts vary from person to person, and a review is recommended once healed.
What it is
What eyeliner embroidery actually is
Eyeliner embroidery is a form of cosmetic tattooing. Fine pigment is placed in the skin along the lash line with a needle, so the eye looks more defined without drawing liner every morning. In Singapore, embroidery is the everyday word for this kind of work; elsewhere you will see permanent eyeliner, eyeliner tattoo or lash-line enhancement.
We say plainly that it uses a needle. Skin treatments at SkinRev Lab, such as Needleless SkinBooster, are needle-free by design. Permanent makeup is a separate artistry service, with a different trade-off.
Our Signature Eyeliner places pigment along the lash line to define the eye without reading as makeup. The aim is for it to look like better lashes rather than drawn liner.
Styles
Lash-line enhancement, fine liner or a tail
Eyeliner work runs from barely there to clearly defined. These are general descriptions; the right one depends on your eye shape, your lids and how you wear makeup now.
- Lash-line enhancement: pigment placed close to the lashes so they look denser, rather than lined. The most understated option.
- Fine liner: a thin, defined line along the upper lash line, similar to a neatly drawn pencil liner.
- Thicker liner or a tail: more width, or a short extension at the outer corner. More noticeable, and harder to soften later if your taste changes.
- At SkinRev Lab, thickness and tail are tailored at consultation. It is easier to add definition later than to take it away, which is worth remembering when you choose.

The appointment
How SkinRev Lab approaches it
- Consultation first: we talk through how you wear liner now and what you want it to do, and agree thickness and tail with you.
- Design before pigment: nothing is placed until you have agreed the look.
- Private appointments, one client at a time, with our resident permanent makeup artist at CityLink Mall #B1-28.
- Comfort: pigment goes in with a fine needle, so there is sensation. Topical numbing is used for our brow and lip work; ask at consultation how comfort is managed along the lash line.
- Review: recommended once healing is complete, so anything that settled unevenly can be refined.
Who should wait
Who should not have it, or should check first
The eye area deserves caution. Postpone eyeliner embroidery, and speak to a doctor first, if any of the following apply. This list is general rather than complete; if you are unsure about anything to do with your eyes, ask your doctor before you book.
- An active eye or eyelid infection, such as conjunctivitis or a stye, or lids that are currently red, swollen or crusted.
- An ongoing eye or eyelid condition, such as blepharitis or troublesome dry eye, or any eye condition you are being treated for.
- Recent eye or eyelid surgery or procedures. Ask your surgeon or eye doctor when it is safe.
- A past reaction to a tattoo, permanent makeup pigment or eye cosmetics.
- Skin conditions that can flare where skin is injured, such as psoriasis, vitiligo or lichen planus.
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding, or blood-thinning medication: tell us at booking. Do not stop any prescribed medication without your doctor's advice.
Healing
Healing: what is common, and what varies
Healing differs between people, so treat this as a general picture rather than a timetable. Some swelling and tenderness around the lids straight afterwards is common. Like most permanent makeup, the line usually looks darker and sharper at first and softens as it settles; how much it softens varies.
Follow the aftercare you are given at your appointment. In general terms, that means keeping the area clean, not rubbing or picking at it, and keeping eye makeup off the treated line until it has healed. If you notice increasing pain, spreading redness, discharge or any change in your vision, see a doctor promptly.
Eyeliner embroidery is long-lasting rather than permanent in the literal sense: pigment fades gradually. How long it holds varies with your skin, sun exposure and how your body processes pigment.
Dermatology reviews of permanent makeup describe infectious, allergic and inflammatory complications, and note they may be more common when hygiene and aftercare are not followed. That is why the eye area is assessed carefully before anything is placed.
Preparing
Before your appointment
- Come without eye makeup, so the design starts from your real lash line.
- As with brow work, avoid alcohol and caffeine on the day, and avoid blood-thinning medication only where your doctor permits.
- Tell us at booking if you wear contact lenses, have lash extensions or a lash lift, or use a lash-growth serum, so we can tell you what to do beforehand.
- Mention any eye condition or recent eye treatment, even if it seems minor.
Choosing where
How to judge where to have it done
Searching for the best eyeliner embroidery in Singapore turns up many studios, and rankings tell you little about your own eyes. It is more useful to ask every studio the same questions.
- Can I see healed eyeliner work, not only fresh results?
- Is the look designed and agreed with me before any pigment is placed?
- Are needles single-use, and how is the room kept hygienic?
- What happens at the review appointment?
- Will you tell me if I should not have it done today?

Common questions
Your questions,
answered
How much is eyeliner embroidery at SkinRev Lab?
Signature Eyeliner is S$598 before GST. Thickness and tail are tailored at consultation, before any pigment is placed, and a review is recommended once healing is complete.
Is eyeliner embroidery the same as permanent eyeliner?
Yes. Eyeliner embroidery, permanent eyeliner, eyeliner tattoo and lash-line enhancement all describe cosmetic tattooing along the lash line. Embroidery is simply the term most people use in Singapore.
Will it look like I am wearing makeup?
It should not. The aim of our Signature Eyeliner is to define the eye so it looks like better lashes rather than drawn liner. Most people end up wanting it noticeably softer than they first imagined.
Does eyeliner embroidery hurt?
Pigment is placed with a fine needle, so there is sensation, and the eye area is sensitive. Ask at consultation how comfort is managed. We would rather set the expectation honestly than tell you it is nothing.
How long does eyeliner embroidery last?
It varies. It is long-lasting rather than permanent, and fades gradually depending on your skin, sun exposure and how your body processes pigment.
Can I have it if I have an eye condition?
Check with your doctor first. Active infections such as conjunctivitis or a stye, inflamed lids, recent eye surgery or an eye condition under treatment are reasons to wait.
Can I wear eye makeup afterwards?
Keep eye makeup off the treated line until it has healed, and follow the aftercare you are given at your appointment.
