Regenerative facials in Singapore what the word really means
Regenerative aesthetics is about supporting the skin's own repair rather than filling, heating or peeling it. Here is what sits under the label, what the evidence says, and how needle-free facials differ from a doctor's treatment.

Quick answer
- In aesthetics, regenerative usually means treatments that aim to prompt the skin's own repair: polynucleotides (PDRN and PN, as in Rejuran), collagen biostimulators, and skincare with growth factors or exosomes. It is a marketing term, not a regulated category.
- Needle-free at SkinRev Lab: Rejuran PDRN Facial S$128 to S$348; Needleless SkinBooster S$288 per region, first region from S$98; SKINLDM S$288, first visit S$68. All before GST.
- Medical options, such as injected polynucleotides including Rejuran Healer, bio-remodelling hyaluronic acid and collagen biostimulators, are performed by Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic and priced at consultation.
- The evidence is uneven: strongest for injected collagen biostimulators, promising but limited for polynucleotides, and early for exosomes. A facial works more gently and gradually than an injection.
The term
What regenerative means in aesthetics
A regenerative treatment aims to support the skin's own repair processes, such as collagen production, hydration and barrier recovery, rather than adding volume, freezing a muscle or removing a layer. That is the idea behind searches for a regenerative facial in Singapore, and behind the question many people ask: what is regenerative aesthetics?
The honest answer is that the word is used loosely. A 2026 review in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology notes that regenerative is often used without biological precision, overlapping with repair, remodelling and biostimulation. A 2025 systematic review went further, concluding that regenerative aesthetics does not yet have the scientific rigour or regulatory backing to count as a specialty in its own right.
So treat regenerative as a description of intent, not a promise of a result. The useful questions are what the active ingredient is, how it reaches the skin, and what the evidence for that route shows.
The ingredients
What sits under the regenerative label
Most treatments sold as regenerative fall into a handful of groups. They work differently and have very different levels of evidence.
- PDRN and polynucleotides (PN): purified DNA fragments, usually from salmon. Rejuran is a well-known Korean brand. Shorter fragments (PDRN) are described as acting through adenosine receptors; longer ones (PN) as forming a water-holding scaffold. The two terms are often used interchangeably.
- Collagen biostimulators: injectable poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) or polycaprolactone (PCL), which prompt the body to lay down new collagen over months. Medical only.
- Bio-remodelling hyaluronic acid: a very concentrated, lightly stabilised hyaluronic acid injected to improve skin quality rather than shape. Medical only.
- Growth-factor skincare: creams and serums containing growth factors, used at home or after treatments.
- Exosomes: tiny vesicles that cells release, now added to serums and facials. Products vary widely in source and quality.
Needle-free
Regenerative facials at SkinRev Lab
SkinRev Lab is a non-invasive aesthetic centre at CityLink Mall, not a clinic. We do not inject. Three treatments fit what people mean by a regenerative facial, each performed by our Aesthetic Specialists.
The Rejuran PDRN Facial is built around cosmetic-grade c-PDRN delivered with Meso Touch transdermal technology, without needles. It comes in three ranges and nine tiers of 60 to 90 minutes; longer tiers add extraction, massage, double masking or LED. It suits people wanting better hydration and skin quality, or calmer post-acne and sensitised skin.
The Needleless SkinBooster is a shorter delivery treatment rather than a facial: a booster solution chosen for hydration, tone or overall skin quality is delivered into the skin through a specialised applicator tip. SKINLDM is a facial using LDM ultrasound, rapidly alternating frequencies that create a gentle micro-massage in the skin, aimed at sensitive, redness-prone skin. Most clients return to their day straight after any of the three. A course is planned at your assessment, and results vary.
| Treatment | How it works | Session | Price before GST |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rejuran PDRN Facial | Topical c-PDRN, Meso Touch transdermal delivery | 60, 75 or 90 minutes | S$128 to S$348, by range and tier |
| Needleless SkinBooster | Booster solution delivered via an applicator tip, no needles | Shorter, targeted | S$288 per region (face or neck); first region from S$98 |
| SKINLDM | LDM ultrasound micro-massage with a basic facial | About 30 minutes | S$288; first visit S$68 |
Doctor-led
Medical regenerative treatments at IN Eternity Clinic
Injected treatments are medical procedures. In our network they are performed by Dr Sin Yong (MBBS Singapore, MRCS Edinburgh, MSc Practical Dermatology Cardiff) at IN Eternity Clinic, our affiliated clinic at 9 Scotts Road, #12-01 Pacific Plaza, beside Orchard MRT. Suitability, the number of sessions and pricing are decided at consultation.
- Injectable polynucleotide boosters, including Rejuran Healer: microdroplets placed in the dermis at a higher concentration than a facial uses. Expect small bumps and redness for hours to a day or two.
- Bio-remodelling hyaluronic acid: a fluid, concentrated hyaluronic acid injected through a few points on each side of the face, where it spreads to improve hydration and texture.
- Collagen biostimulators (PLLA or PCL): injected to rebuild support gradually over weeks to months, for early volume loss and sagging. Usually a few days of swelling or bruising.

Regenerative facial or injection: how they compare
SkinRev Lab prices are before GST. The routes are not interchangeable: a topical product works more gently and reaches less deeply than an injection, and an injection brings needles, marks and a medical consultation.

The evidence
What the research supports, honestly
Collagen biostimulators have the firmest footing. A 2026 review judged particulate biostimulators, with PLLA in the lead, to have the most consistent evidence for lasting remodelling, while polynucleotides, PDRN and extracellular vesicles show strong mechanistic plausibility but limited and varied clinical evidence.
For polynucleotides, a 2025 systematic review found nine studies of low to moderate quality, with 219 patients. All were injection studies, with promising results for wrinkles, texture and elasticity, and mild side effects. A 2026 expert panel on Rejuran polynucleotides reported no granuloma or blocked-vessel cases in the literature, but several panel members advise or work for the manufacturer, and they too called the evidence base limited. Evidence for topical, needle-free delivery is thinner still.
Growth-factor skincare shows modest improvement in a 2023 systematic review of 33 studies, mostly uncontrolled, with unknown persistence beyond six months. For exosomes, the US FDA states there are no FDA-approved exosome products, and reviewers flag inconsistent sourcing and a need for proper trials. In Singapore, cosmetic products are notified to HSA rather than approved, so a label is not proof of effect.
Choosing
Which regenerative route suits you
SkinRev Lab is at #B1-28 CityLink Mall, 1 Raffles Link, Singapore 039393, on the underground link between City Hall MRT and Esplanade MRT, open daily 11am to 8pm; WhatsApp +65 8266 9585. IN Eternity Clinic is open Monday to Saturday, 11am to 8pm; WhatsApp +65 8815 3008.
- Start with a facial if you want better hydration, calmer or post-acne skin and gradual change without needles or visible marks.
- Choose the Needleless SkinBooster if one concern, such as dehydration or uneven tone, needs more direct attention, or add it to a facial course.
- Choose SKINLDM if your skin is reactive and tends to flare with stronger treatments; keep up any rosacea treatment your doctor has prescribed.
- See a doctor first for hollows, sagging, deep acne scars, melasma or active acne, which need medical treatment.
- Injections are not advised during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and polynucleotide products are fish-derived, so mention any allergies.
- Ask any provider: what exactly is the active, is it cosmetic or medical, who performs it, and what does the evidence for that route show?

Common questions
Your questions,
answered
What is a regenerative facial?
A facial built around ingredients or energy meant to support the skin's own repair, such as polynucleotides (PDRN), growth factors or gentle ultrasound, rather than simply cleansing or exfoliating. At SkinRev Lab that means the Rejuran PDRN Facial, Needleless SkinBooster or SKINLDM, all needle-free.
What is regenerative aesthetics in Singapore?
A loose umbrella term for treatments that aim to prompt repair and collagen renewal: polynucleotides, collagen biostimulators, bio-remodelling hyaluronic acid, growth factors and exosomes. It is not a recognised medical specialty or a regulated category, and the evidence differs a lot between treatments. Injected versions are medical procedures performed by a doctor.
Is a PDRN facial the same as Rejuran Healer?
No. Both use polynucleotides, but the Rejuran PDRN Facial at SkinRev Lab delivers cosmetic-grade c-PDRN into the skin without needles. Rejuran Healer is injected into the dermis at a higher concentration, which is a doctor's procedure. The injection works more strongly; the facial is gentler and builds gradually.
Are exosome facials proven?
Not yet. The US FDA states there are no FDA-approved exosome products, and reviews describe early, promising results alongside inconsistent sourcing, standardisation and limited trials. If you are offered exosomes, ask what the source is, what the product is registered as, and what evidence supports it.
Does SkinRev Lab do regenerative injections?
No. SkinRev Lab is a non-invasive aesthetic centre and does not inject. Injected polynucleotides, bio-remodelling hyaluronic acid and collagen biostimulators are performed by Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic, Pacific Plaza, and priced at consultation.
How much is a regenerative facial at SkinRev Lab?
The Rejuran PDRN Facial is S$128 to S$348 per session, depending on range and tier. The Needleless SkinBooster is S$288 per region, with the first region from S$98. SKINLDM is S$288, or S$68 on a first visit. All prices are before GST.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no fixed number. Regenerative treatments work gradually, so a course is planned at your assessment, based on your skin and goals, often followed by maintenance. Hydration may show soon after a session, while texture and resilience build over weeks. Results vary.
Can I have a regenerative facial with sensitive skin?
Often, yes. The Rejuran PDRN Facial and SKINLDM are commonly chosen for sensitive or post-acne skin. Your Aesthetic Specialist checks suitability first. If you have active rosacea, eczema or acne, see a doctor as well and continue any prescribed treatment.
