What a HydraFacial booster is

HydraFacial describes boosters as highly concentrated serums that personalise and amplify a HydraFacial treatment. On the Syndeo system, the booster goes in through the handpiece during the hydration step, while the skin is freshly exfoliated and cleared, rather than being applied by hand at the end.

HydraFacial's range includes its own boosters and partner-brand boosters, each aimed at one concern, such as hydration, brightening, firmness, fine lines or congestion. Which boosters a provider stocks varies, so it is worth asking by name what is in your facial.

A booster refines what the facial does; it does not turn a hydrating facial into a different treatment. It will not lift sagging skin, treat melasma or resurface acne scars.

JLo Beauty Booster

The JLo Beauty Booster: for dull, dehydrated skin

The HydraFacial x JLo Beauty Booster was developed by HydraFacial with Jennifer Lopez's JLo Beauty brand and launched in 2022. Its named actives include olive leaf extract, niacinamide and a fermented adaptogen blend, with a humectant complex to help the skin hold on to water.

At SkinRev Lab, it is +S$68 before GST on any tier, infused during the hydration step. It is the add-on to choose when dullness and dehydration are the main complaint, for example skin that looks tired after travel, late nights or air-conditioning.

If congestion and blackheads are the main issue, a higher tier usually serves you better than a booster, because the extra steps work on the pores rather than on glow.

Built-in boosters

Boosters inside Deluxe and Platinum

Every HydraFacial Syndeo tier at SkinRev Lab follows the same three steps in a 45-minute session: cleanse and peel, extract and hydrate, then fuse and protect with a serum blend chosen for your skin. The tiers differ in what is layered on top.

Deluxe and Platinum already include a targeted booster, chosen at consultation for your concern, whether brightening, fine lines, congestion or hydration, plus LED support. Platinum, the highest of the three tiers, adds further treatment steps throughout. Signature is the core protocol, and a booster can be added to it in the same way as the JLo Beauty Booster.

Perk

Perk Lip and Perk Eye: the areas the facial does not reach

Perk comes from The HydraFacial Company. Rather than the main Syndeo handpiece, it uses a patented roller-flex applicator designed for small, delicate areas, with gentle suction to lift away dead skin cells while antioxidants are delivered. You take home a vial of product to keep using afterwards.

At SkinRev Lab, each Perk takes about 15 minutes. You can book Perk on its own or add it to any HydraFacial tier. Pricing is given at the counter or on WhatsApp.

• Perk Lip: exfoliates and hydrates the lips in one pass, for a smoother lip surface. Popular before an event, or for lips that are often dry and lined.
• Perk Eye: the same applicator, worked lightly around the orbital bone with a soothing antioxidant serum, aimed at the look of puffiness and fine lines around the eyes. Finished with a take-home eye product.

Choosing

Which add-on, if any, suits you

• Skin looks dull and feels tight or dehydrated: Signature with the JLo Beauty Booster. At S$356 before GST (S$388.04 with GST), it costs less than Deluxe and targets exactly that.
• One specific concern, such as uneven tone, early fine lines or congestion: Deluxe, so the booster is matched to that concern at consultation and LED is included.
• You want the fullest version of the facial, for example before a big event: Platinum.
• Lips that are dry, flaky or lined: add Perk Lip, or book it on its own.
• The eye area looks tired or puffy: add Perk Eye. Dark circles from pigment, hollows or genetics are not something a facial changes; our team will say so honestly.
• Very sensitive or reactive skin: start with the core protocol and tell us at your assessment. More actives are not always better.

Questions to ask about any booster or Perk

• Which booster, by name? A provider should be able to tell you exactly what is going into your facial.
• Is it a genuine HydraFacial booster, infused through the device, or a serum applied by hand afterwards?
• Is the booster already included in the tier you are buying? At SkinRev Lab, Deluxe and Platinum include one.
• For Perk, is it HydraFacial's Perk with the roller-flex applicator, and is the take-home product included?
• Is the price before or after GST, and is it a one-time first-visit rate?

Booking HydraFacial with a booster or Perk

Your Aesthetic Specialist will suggest a tier and any add-on at a short assessment before your first session, including a lower tier or no add-on if that suits your skin better. Make-up can go on the same day; very sensitive skin may flush briefly. Results vary.
