Quick answer

  • HydraFacial Syndeo is the current generation of the HydraFacial system. The Beauty Health Company introduced it in the United States in March 2022 and in select markets in Europe and Asia-Pacific from April 2023.
  • The treatment is the same three-step Vortex-Fusion facial as on earlier HydraFacial systems: cleanse and peel, extract and hydrate, fuse and protect. Syndeo adds on-screen protocols, touch-free gesture controls, cloud-connected treatment records, built-in LED and lymphatic drainage features, and automatic software updates.
  • A genuine HydraFacial uses a licensed device, single-use HydroPeel tips and HydraFacial's own serums and boosters. Ask to see the device, the tip being opened and the serums.
  • At SkinRev Lab, trained therapists perform HydraFacial on the Syndeo at CityLink Mall, linked underground to City Hall MRT: Signature S$288, Deluxe S$388, Platinum S$438 before GST, about 45 minutes.

The basics

What the HydraFacial Syndeo is

HydraFacial is a branded form of hydradermabrasion: a facial in which one handpiece cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates, using a patented Vortex-Fusion spiral tip under gentle suction. Syndeo is the name of the current machine that runs it. The Beauty Health Company, which owns HydraFacial, introduced Syndeo in the United States in March 2022 and launched it in select markets in Europe and Asia-Pacific from April 2023.

The name comes from the Greek for 'connected', and that is the main idea. The facial itself is not a new treatment; the machine around it is. Syndeo links each device to cloud-based software, guides the therapist through each protocol on screen, and keeps a record of what each client has had.

HydraFacial is a non-medical facial. It works at the surface of the skin and in the pores, and its results are temporary. It is performed by trained therapists rather than doctors, and it is not a treatment for scars, melasma or sagging skin.

What changed

How Syndeo differs from the Elite and earlier systems

All genuine HydraFacial systems deliver the same three core steps with the same Vortex-Fusion technology, HydroPeel tips and serums. Earlier systems, such as the Elite and the MD-branded models, are still in use in some clinics, and a facial on them follows the same basic sequence. When Syndeo was introduced in the United States, it was positioned as the successor to the Elite.

What changed is the workflow around the treatment. HydraFacial lists these Syndeo features: on-screen protocols and prompts, so each step runs the same way from one visit and one therapist to the next; gesture-based controls, so the therapist can move through the treatment without touching the screen; cloud-based records of a client's skin concerns, past treatments and boosters; built-in hands-free LED and lymphatic drainage features; and automatic software updates, so the system keeps up with new boosters.

In plain terms, Syndeo is about consistency and record-keeping. How your skin looks and feels after a genuine HydraFacial depends mostly on the protocol, the serums and the person performing it, and those are much the same on any genuine system. A newer machine is not a stronger treatment.

The treatment

The three Vortex-Fusion steps

Step one, cleanse and peel: a gentle exfoliating tip removes dead skin cells, and a mild blend of glycolic and salicylic acids loosens what sits in the pores. It resurfaces lightly, without the flaking that can follow a stronger chemical peel.

Step two, extract and hydrate: the Vortex-Fusion tip creates a controlled vortex under suction that lifts out blackheads and congestion while flushing the skin with hydrating serum. Nothing is squeezed by hand, so there is less redness and less risk of marks than with manual extraction. Inflamed, painful spots are worked around rather than extracted.

Step three, fuse and protect: serums chosen for your skin, with ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, peptides and antioxidants, are infused into the freshly cleared skin. At SkinRev Lab a session takes about 45 minutes. You feel a cool tingle, then a wet, pulling sensation over congested areas such as the nose and chin, then a soothing finish. Make-up can go on the same day.

Add-ons

Boosters, Perk Lip and Perk Eye on the Syndeo

A booster is a concentrated serum that the Syndeo handpiece infuses during the hydration step, while the skin is freshly exfoliated and cleared. At SkinRev Lab, the Deluxe and Platinum tiers include a targeted booster chosen for your concern, such as brightening, fine lines, congestion or hydration, with LED support. The JLo Beauty Booster, developed by HydraFacial with JLo Beauty, can be added to any tier for S$68 before GST.

Perk is a separate roller-flex applicator for the two areas the main handpiece does not reach. Perk Lip gently exfoliates and hydrates the lips in about 15 minutes, with a serum containing peppermint and peony extract. Perk Eye is worked lightly around the orbital bone with a serum including green tea extract, arnica and horse chestnut, aimed at the look of puffiness, dark circles and fine lines. Both come with a take-home product and are priced at the counter.

Ingredient lists are the manufacturer's, and results vary. Boosters make the facial more targeted; they do not turn it into a treatment for melasma or acne scars.

Genuine or not

How to check you are getting a genuine HydraFacial

HydraFacial requires every provider to hold a valid trademark licence to promote the treatment as HydraFacial and to order official tips, serums and boosters. Second-hand machines must be inspected and recertified by the company before they can be used under the HydraFacial name. Many 'hydra facials' in Singapore run on other hydradermabrasion machines; they can be pleasant facials, but they are not the HydraFacial system.

Simple checks before you book: ask which device is used and look for its name on the screen; watch the single-use HydroPeel tip being opened for you; ask which serums and boosters are used, and look for the HydraFacial name on them; and ask how long the session lasts. A full protocol takes about 45 minutes. A much lower price often means a shorter session, skipped steps or a different machine.

SkinRev Lab holds HydraFacial's 2026 Certificate of Authenticity as a certified provider, and every session runs on the Syndeo with genuine tips and serums. You are welcome to ask to see them.

Price

HydraFacial Syndeo price in Singapore

At SkinRev Lab, all three tiers run on the Syndeo and take about 45 minutes. Prices are per session, before GST: Signature S$288, Deluxe S$388 and Platinum S$438. With 9% GST, that is S$313.92, S$422.92 and S$477.42.

Signature covers the three core steps. Deluxe adds a targeted booster and LED support. Platinum adds further treatment steps throughout. If dullness or dehydration is your main concern, Signature with the JLo Beauty Booster may suit you as well as a higher tier.

In October 2026, Singapore clinics published single HydraFacial sessions from about S$150 to S$590 depending on tier, some before GST and some after. Compare the device, the session length, the steps and GST rather than the headline price.

Limits

What the Syndeo does not change

A newer machine does not change what a HydraFacial can do. It is a cleansing and hydrating facial: skin usually looks clearer, smoother and better hydrated the same day, and the effect fades over days to a couple of weeks as pores refill. Every four to six weeks is a common rhythm.

It does not treat active cystic acne, resurface acne scars, clear melasma or lift sagging skin. The published studies on hydradermabrasion are small and short, and none shows that it builds new collagen. For scars, pigment or laxity, a doctor's assessment is the right starting point.

If you are taking isotretinoin or stopped recently, exfoliating facials are usually postponed. Tell us about pregnancy, sunburn or recent injections when you book.

How long does a HydraFacial Syndeo session take?

About 45 minutes at SkinRev Lab for every tier. Perk Lip or Perk Eye add about 15 minutes each. Make-up can go on the same day, and most people go straight back to work.
