Face lift price in Singapore what drives the cost, and how to compare it per year
Face lift prices in Singapore are hard to compare because the same words cover an operation, a thread lift, a course of energy treatments or injectables. Here is what drives each kind of cost, a simple cost-per-year method for comparing them over five years, and what SkinRev Lab's own treatments cost.

Quick answer
- A face lift price in Singapore depends first on the route: a surgical facelift bundles the surgeon's fee, the anaesthetist, the hospital or facility and follow-up into one large cost, while non-surgical face lifting is paid per session or area and repeated for maintenance. Providers quote after an assessment, because the plan depends on your face.
- The fairest comparison is cost per year of visible result: add up everything you would pay over about five years, including maintenance, reviews and GST, then divide by the years the change actually lasts. Surgery lasts years; for focused ultrasound, published data show improvement up to about a year after one treatment.
- At SkinRev Lab, SKINLIFT® Face is S$888 and SKINLIFT® Double Chin is S$488 per 30-minute session, and SKINTIGHT is S$588 per zone, all before GST, with the number of sessions planned at assessment. VF Lift, performed by Dr Sin Yong at SkinRev Lab, is priced at consultation.
- Doctor-led options at IN Eternity Clinic, including HIFU, Svelte Touch, Time Freeze Laser LCLR®, RVR ProLift threads, fillers and collagen biostimulators, are priced at consultation. SkinRev Lab does no surgery, and cosmetic surgery is not covered by MediShield Life.
Why prices differ
Face lift price in Singapore: one name, very different treatments
In Singapore, a face lift can mean a surgical facelift by a plastic surgeon, a thread lift, a course of energy treatments such as focused ultrasound or radiofrequency, or fillers and biostimulators that restore lost support. Each is priced on a different basis, so two quotes for a face lift may not be for the same thing at all.
They also lift by very different amounts. Surgery removes loose skin and repositions deeper tissue; energy devices tighten by millimetres; threads hold tissue higher for a period of months; fillers lift indirectly by replacing volume. Before comparing prices, make sure the treatments you are comparing can realistically achieve what you want.
Surgery
What drives the cost of a surgical face lift
A surgical facelift is usually quoted as a package or a set of separate fees after a consultation with a plastic surgeon. The UK National Health Service describes it as usually done under general anaesthetic, sometimes local anaesthetic with sedation, taking about two to three hours, often with an overnight stay and two to four weeks to recover fully.
Cosmetic surgery is not covered by MediShield Life, so the full amount is usually paid privately. The main drivers are:
- Method and extent: a short-scar or mini facelift, a full SMAS or deep-plane facelift, and whether a neck lift is included.
- The surgeon's fee, which reflects the complexity of the operation and the surgeon's experience.
- Anaesthesia: general anaesthetic or sedation, with an anaesthetist's fee.
- The facility: a hospital or day-surgery operating theatre, and any overnight stay.
- Combined operations: eyelid surgery or fat grafting at the same sitting add cost; in a large US database, more than half of facelifts were combined, and combined procedures had major complication rates of up to 3.7% compared with 1.5% for a facelift alone.
- Care around the operation: tests, medicines, dressings and follow-up visits.
- Time away from work and social plans while bruising and swelling settle.
Non-surgical
What drives the cost of non-surgical face lifting
Non-surgical face lifting is usually priced per session, per area or per zone, which makes single prices look small and totals hard to judge. These factors decide what you actually pay.
- Method: focused ultrasound, radiofrequency, laser, threads, fillers or biostimulators, each with different equipment and consumable costs.
- Who performs it: a doctor's assessment and time, or a session by a trained aesthetic specialist.
- Anaesthesia: most energy treatments need none or only numbing cream; threads need local anaesthetic.
- Areas: the face, jawline, double chin, eyes and neck are often priced separately.
- Sessions: a first course, then maintenance at intervals agreed at review.
- Consumables: cartridges, tips, threads and syringes are built into the price of each treatment.
- Extras: consultation and review fees, numbing and GST.
Cost per year
A cost-per-year way to compare face lift prices
Because some options are paid once and others repeatedly, compare them over the same period. Five years is a practical window: long enough to include maintenance, short enough to plan for.
Step one: add up everything you would pay over five years, including the first treatment or course, maintenance sessions, consultation and review fees, numbing, GST and time off work. Step two: estimate how many of those years you would actually see the change, using the evidence below and your doctor's advice. Step three: divide the first figure by the second. The result is your cost per year of visible improvement, and it often changes which option looks expensive.
| Route | How you pay | How long the change lasts (evidence) | Add to your five-year total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Surgical facelift | One large upfront cost | Years; in a 5.5-year study most jowl correction remained, while the neck partly relapsed | Any touch-up surgery, complications and recovery time |
| Energy-based lifting (ultrasound, radiofrequency, laser) | Per session or area, often as a course | Improvement reported up to about a year after one ultrasound treatment; longer data are lacking | Maintenance sessions each year and reviews |
| Thread lift | Per procedure, by the number of threads | Immediate lift; longest published follow-up two years | Repeat procedures as the threads dissolve |
| Fillers and biostimulators | Per syringe, vial or course | HA often visible six months to two years by area; gel can persist for years | Top-ups only after review; dissolving if needed |
The evidence
How long each result lasts, according to research
Surgery: in a study that measured 50 facelift patients 5.5 years after surgery, the jowl had been lifted by about 6 mm and kept roughly four-fifths of that lift, and three in four patients were still judged to look younger than before their operation. The face keeps ageing, but from a better starting point.
Energy devices: a systematic review of single microfocused ultrasound treatments found measurable tightening, such as brow lifts of about 0.5 to 1.7 mm, with improvement continuing up to one year; longer-term data were not available, and results were poorer with more severe laxity or a body mass index over 30.
Threads and fillers: a 2025 review of 12 studies of absorbable threads found improvement immediately after treatment but no long-term efficacy data, with the longest follow-up at two years. HA filler can remain in tissue for years on MRI, even after its visible effect has faded, so top-ups should follow a review rather than a calendar.
SkinRev Lab prices
SkinRev Lab's own face lifting prices
These are SkinRev Lab's published prices for its non-medical lifting, tightening and contouring treatments, per session and before GST. Each is performed by a trained Aesthetic Specialist at CityLink Mall, and the number of sessions is planned at your assessment, so ask for both the session price and the planned number of sessions before you start.
SKINLIFT® uses multi-sequential focused ultrasound aimed at the support layers beneath the skin, with no needles and no numbing; results build over a course and are kept with maintenance sessions. SKINTIGHT is microplasma tightening and resurfacing on the Alma PrimeX. SKINSHAPE is microwave fat reduction for a double chin or lower face that is mainly fat; it is not a lift. To estimate a five-year figure, multiply the session price by the total sessions in your course and planned maintenance, then add GST.
| Treatment | Area | Per session, before GST |
|---|---|---|
| SKINLIFT® Face | Jowls, nasolabial folds, jawline · 30 minutes | S$888 |
| SKINLIFT® Double Chin | Submental area · 30 minutes | S$488 |
| SKINTIGHT | Face | S$588 per zone |
| SKINTIGHT | Neck and double chin | S$588 per zone |
| SKINTIGHT | Upper and lower eyes (one zone) | S$588 per zone |
| SKINSHAPE (fat reduction, not a lift) | Double chin or lower face, per 15 × 15 cm zone | S$288 per zone; S$88 for one zone on a first visit |
Doctor-led
VF Lift and doctor-led options: priced at consultation
VF Lift is Dr Sin Yong's vertical facelift protocol, which he performs himself at SkinRev Lab, CityLink Mall. It applies 6.78 MHz monopolar radiofrequency along planned vertical lines, adding focused ultrasound where a deeper layer needs support. It is priced at consultation, because the areas, the mix of energies and the course depend on how your face has descended.
At IN Eternity Clinic, 9 Scotts Road, #12-01 Pacific Plaza, beside Orchard MRT, Dr Sin Yong performs medical HIFU, Svelte Touch (radiofrequency and ultrasound together), Time Freeze Laser LCLR®, RVR ProLift threads placed along vertical vectors, dermal fillers and collagen biostimulators. All are priced at consultation by the clinic after an assessment; WhatsApp +65 8815 3008.
A doctor's plan often combines approaches, for example energy tightening with filler where volume has gone. Ask for the cost of the whole plan, including maintenance, so you can apply the same cost-per-year arithmetic.
Hidden costs
Costs that are easy to miss
A low headline price can turn into an expensive plan, and an expensive one can work out cheaper per year. Check these before you compare.
- GST: SkinRev Lab's prices are shown before GST; ask any provider whether a quote includes it.
- Consultation and review fees, which some providers charge separately.
- The number of sessions in a course, and how often maintenance is expected.
- Consumables: whether the price covers a full cartridge or tip, and the number of threads or syringes you need.
- Corrections: dissolving filler or managing a complication costs time and money, so poorly done cheap treatment can cost more.
- Prepaid packages: paying for many sessions before you know how you respond; check the refund terms.
- Your time: recovery from surgery or threads can mean days to weeks away from work or social plans.
Before you pay
Questions to ask before you pay for any face lift
A clear answer to each of these is worth more than a lower price. If sagging is beyond what a treatment can help, a responsible provider will say so.
- Which layer is causing my sagging, and can this treatment realistically change it?
- What exactly does the price include: sessions, areas, consumables, reviews and GST?
- How many sessions are planned, and what maintenance should I expect over five years?
- Who will perform it, and what are their qualifications?
- What are the risks, and who manages them if something goes wrong?
- If another route, including surgery, would serve me better, will you tell me?

Common questions
Your questions,
answered
How much is a face lift in Singapore?
It depends on the route. A surgical facelift is quoted by a plastic surgeon after an examination and covers the surgeon, anaesthetist and facility. Non-surgical lifting is priced per session or area. At SkinRev Lab, SKINLIFT® Face is S$888 per session before GST; medical treatments at IN Eternity Clinic are priced at consultation.
Why does a surgical facelift cost more than non-surgical options?
It is an operation, with a surgeon's and an anaesthetist's time, an operating theatre and often several procedures at once. It also does more, removing loose skin and repositioning deeper tissue, and lasts years. Non-surgical options cost less each time but are repeated.
Is a non-surgical face lift cheaper in the long run?
Not always. Add up the first course, maintenance, reviews and GST over five years and divide by the years you see a result. For mild sagging, non-surgical options often make sense; for heavy sagging, repeated treatments that cannot remove loose skin may cost more for less.
How often do I need non-surgical face lifting?
It varies. Studies of single ultrasound treatments show improvement up to about a year, with little longer-term data, and threads soften as they dissolve. Maintenance is usually planned at a review rather than fixed in advance.
Does MediShield Life cover a face lift?
No. Cosmetic surgery is listed among the exclusions of MediShield Life, so a facelift done for appearance is paid privately. Non-surgical aesthetic treatments are also paid privately.
How much is SKINLIFT® at SkinRev Lab?
SKINLIFT® Face is S$888 and SKINLIFT® Double Chin is S$488 per 30-minute session, before GST. It is a non-medical, needle-free focused-ultrasound treatment, and the number of sessions is planned at your assessment.
How much does VF Lift cost?
VF Lift is priced at consultation with Dr Sin Yong at SkinRev Lab, because the areas treated, the combination of radiofrequency and ultrasound and the course depend on your face. He explains the plan and fees before treatment begins.
What is included in a face lift price?
For surgery, usually the surgeon, anaesthetist, facility and some follow-up, but check for tests, medicines and review visits. For non-surgical treatments, check the number of sessions, areas, consumables, numbing, reviews and GST.
Are face lift packages worth it?
Only if the plan suits your face and the terms are clear. Paying upfront for many sessions before you know how you respond carries risk; ask what a realistic course is, what maintenance looks like and what happens if you stop.
